Vanessa Okoye, daughter of music executive Paul Okoye, has responded to singer Spyro after he shared his experiences with her father’s record label in an interview.
Spyro talked about the challenges he faced while signed, but Vanessa was not happy with his comments.
She posted on her Instagram story, calling him a “one hit wonder” and saying he was “crazy” for criticizing her father and the label.
Vanessa stated that Spyro was talking nonsense in the interview and wished for God’s forgiveness for his comments.
She noted that many artists tend to bite the hand that feeds them, and Spyro seems to fit this pattern.
To clear up any confusion, Vanessa provided details about the expenses the record label paid for Spyro, which included N4.2 million for two music videos.
She mentioned additional costs like travel expenses, which totaled 12 million naira. However, she pointed out that even with this investment, Spyro did not bring in any revenue for the label.
