- A viral video reveals Verydarkman’s mother conversing with the renowned Afrobeats singer, Davido.
- Uche Maduagwu mocked the woman, suggesting she should create a video to plead with the government instead of calling Davido.
Controversial actor and media personality Uche Maduagwu has taken a swipe at the mother of detained social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) after a video surfaced online showing her having a video call with Afrobeats superstar Davido.
In the video, VDM’s mother was seen speaking casually with Davido, a gesture that didn’t sit well with Uche Maduagwu, who felt her focus should be elsewhere.
Reacting to the clip, Uche mocked her for not using her voice to publicly plead for her son’s release from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He said:
“Na mama be this one? mama wey fit do video call with Davido wey dey no arrest, mama wey no fit do video to beg government, or to beg EFCC say make them release VDM. Na mama be this one?”
In a caption accompanying his reaction, Uche further criticized her:
“DM Mama can do a Video Call with Davido but she can’t do a video for #FreeVdm 🙄 I’ve never heard of something like this before, Speed Darlington case with Burnaboy that is not even as SERIOUS as this, him Mama immediately made a video, and that is what every GOOD #mother should do in that situation. Mama vdm, this is so BAD, so, you want other women Pikin to go on the ROAD to protest #freevdmnow despite the D*NGERS involved but you Wey be vdm Mama that has not seen your Pikin for Days, still refuses to even make a ONE MINUTES #VIDEO in your House to Beg EFCC to release your Son? Which Kain mama you be Sef? If you had trained vdm well, will he be inside this Wahala? 🙄”
