Renowned Nigerian chess advocate and founder of ‘Chess in Slums Africa’, Tunde Onakoya, has been gifted a brand new Nord A9 SUV by Oluwatobi Ajayi, the CEO of Nord Motion.
The surprise gift followed a friendly chess match between Onakoya and the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Oluwatobi Ajayi.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, Onakoya shared his excitement along with photos of the sleek vehicle, describing it as the most beautiful car he has ever owned.
In his post, he expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Nord Motion team, calling the gesture a symbol of genuine love and support.
He hinted that the car was part of a playful challenge with the CEO—one he couldn’t afford to lose.
Beyond the luxury SUV, Onakoya also announced an extension of his brand ambassador deal with Nord Motion for another year.
He praised Oluwatobi Ajayi for his innovation and leadership, referring to him as the “Elon” of Africa due to his pioneering efforts in Nigeria’s automotive space.
“Up Naija. A beauty to behold and proudly made in Nigeria,” Onakoya wrote, celebrating both the car and the vision behind it.
