Fast-rising Afrobeats artist Ayo Maff has opened up about the major turning point in his music journey, crediting his collaboration with Fireboy DML as the moment that changed everything.

In a recent interview on the program Trending, Ayo Maff shared how the “Dealer Remix” featuring Fireboy catapulted him into the spotlight. He revealed that he had been seeking a feature with a well-established act to give the track more visibility, and Fireboy delivered precisely what the song needed.

“Without Fireboy, there will be no Ayo Maff because he gave me that thing I want. So thank God and thank you to Fireboy,”

Ayo Maff admitted he never expected the YBNL star to agree to the collaboration, describing the circumstances leading up to it as both surprising and transformative.

The success of Dealer Remix earned him a nomination for the prestigious Headies “Next Rated” award, solidifying his presence in the Nigerian music scene.
