Renowned music executive Soso Soberekon has sparked renewed excitement around the viral celebrity boxing scene by pledging N20 million for a rematch between controversial singers Speed Darlington and Portable.
This comes after Portable’s recent victory over Darlington in the much-publicized bout titled “Chaos in the Rings.” The match, which drew massive attention online, ended with Speed Darlington accusing Portable of using “juju” (spiritual means) to secure the win. He later took to Instagram to demand a rematch.
In response, Soberekon dropped his offer in the comment section of Darlington’s post, stating:
“Rematch 20m for the winner. @speeddarlintv you have my number or tell the promoters to reach out to me.”
Despite the buzz surrounding the potential rematch, Portable may not be on board. It’s worth noting that Burna Boy had earlier gifted Portable N20 million for his win, prompting the singer to rule out any possibility of fighting Speed Darlington again. Instead, Portable has demanded a new opponent if another match is to be arranged.
As fans eagerly await updates, the drama between the two entertainers continues to trend, keeping the spotlight firmly on Nigeria’s fast-growing celebrity boxing scene.
