Saskay Claps Back After Being Told She’s Not a Northern Woman –

  • Reality TV star Saskay shared a photo of herself as a northern woman, sparking online conversations and showcasing her beauty and pride.

Reality TV star and beauty influencer Saskay ignited an online debate after sharing a photo with the caption, “Another lovely day being a northern woman.”

However, one Twitter user quickly challenged her claim, stating:
“Saskay, you’re not a Northern woman. You’re from the Middle Belt!”

The comment referred to Saskay’s home state, Adamawa, suggesting it belongs to Nigeria’s Middle Belt rather than the North—a claim that many would argue is inaccurate.

Saskay responded swiftly, quote-tweeting the reply alongside a viral meme and humorously firing back:
“Ah ahn. You people moved Adamawa to the Middle Belt and did not tell me?”

Her witty comeback quickly went viral, sparking a larger conversation about Nigeria’s complex regional classifications. Many social media users joined the debate, discussing the geography and cultural identities linked to Nigeria’s Middle Belt and Northern regions.

The exchange highlighted the ongoing sensitivity and pride surrounding regional identities in Nigeria, with Saskay’s playful response earning widespread applause online.

In other news, Drama erupted online on Monday, May 20, as billionaire businessman and former partner of actress Angela Okorie, known as Oil Money, took to Instagram to air shocking claims about the Nollywood star and her family.

In a series of posts shared to his Instagram Stories, Oil Money threw multiple jabs at Angela, referring to her as “grandma” and suggesting she should have been married to late music icon Fela Kuti — a reference implying heavy marijuana use. He went on to allege that Angela’s brother had struggled with hard drug addiction and had recently completed rehab, claiming he had financially supported the young man during that time.

Further intensifying his rant, the businessman claimed Angela abandoned both her brother and their mother. He accused the actress of living a flashy but fake lifestyle in Lagos while her elderly mother reportedly suffered in Cotonou. Oil Money added that during one of her visits to Nigeria, Angela’s mother had no place to stay and ended up sleeping at Mazamaza car park before continuing her trip to the east.

Taking another swipe at the actress, he insisted she was 50 years old and sarcastically celebrated what he claimed was her true age.

As of now, Angela Okorie has not issued a response to the public allegations.
