Nollywood star Jemima Osunde has taken to social media to address a growing concern about her personal boundaries, especially in public spaces.

The actress shared her frustration on X (formerly Twitter) after an uncomfortable encounter where a fan began filming her without consent. Expressing her discomfort, she urged people—especially content creators—not to invade her personal space by shoving cameras in her face when they see her.

She wrote; “I know everyone is a content creator now but please don’t see me outside and immediately shove a camera in my face. I’m begging you. Imagine picking tampons off the shelf and then you turn to see a camera in your face mahn. Hi and nice to meet you but please no.”

Her message resonated with many users online, who praised her for speaking up about the need for respect, even in the life of a public figure. Others, however, argued that being a celebrity often comes with such public attention.

The discussion highlights the ongoing tension between celebrity status and the right to personal space, especially in the age of constant digital content creation.
