  • Rumors suggest that a group of thugs linked to Seyi Tinubu, the son of Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, violently disrupted the ceremony.

Disturbing images of injuries allegedly sustained by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) president, Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah, have emerged online following a reported attack during the association’s inauguration ceremony in Abuja.

According to the student leader, the assault occurred at The Wells Carlton Hotel in Asokoro, where several high-profile figures, including former Minister of Education and Kano State Governor Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, and ex-Kogi State Governor Captain Idris Wada, were in attendance.

In his account, Atiku claimed the violence was carried out by thugs allegedly linked to Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu. He stated that the assailants arrived armed with cutlasses and firearms in what he described as a “well-coordinated” attack intended to disrupt the event.

Despite receiving a warning from hotel management, Atiku decided to proceed with the inauguration. However, as Senator Shekarau began his speech, chaos reportedly erupted. The attackers stormed the venue, stabbing attendees and looting personal belongings, forcing guests to flee for safety.

The NANS president believes the assault was politically motivated, alleging it followed an attempt to bribe him and silence his leadership.

As of now, there has been no official response from Seyi Tinubu or any government representatives regarding the allegations.
