No room for friendlies, Moses Simon warns Jamaica ahead of clash

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has warned that Nigeria will approach Saturday’s Unity Cup final against Jamaica with full competitive intent, dismissing any notion that the clash is merely a friendly.

Recall Nigeria secured their place in the final with a 2-1 win over Ghana, while Jamaica booked their ticket by defeating Trinidad and Tobago 3-2.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the final, Simon stressed the importance of representing Nigeria with seriousness, regardless of the competition.

“I feel good. It’s my first time playing in a tournament like this in the UK, and of course, we are prepared,” said Simon.

“We know what it takes. There’s no such thing as a friendly game when you’re playing for Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, the match is scheduled for Saturday at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford, with kickoff set for 5 pm Nigeria time.
