UK-based Nigerian reality star Tacha has openly criticized the behavior of certain Nigerian pastors, highlighting what she calls hypocrisy and impunity within the church.

In a strongly worded video shared on her X handle, Tacha responded to the viral footage involving Pastor Paul Adefarasin, founder of House on the Rock, who was seen confronting a car spotter while holding an object that looked like a pistol.

Pastor Adefarasin later claimed the object was not a firearm and insisted the spotter acted aggressively. However, Tacha rejected this explanation, accusing him of trying to manipulate public opinion.

“Let’s call a spade a spade,” she said. “We all saw the video. That was not aggression from the spotter. In fact, the boy was hailing the pastor. It was Adefarasin who stopped, wound down his window, and pointed something that looked like a gun. That’s what we saw.”

She expressed disbelief at the applause the pastor received from his congregation during his explanation, questioning their judgment.

“What are you people clapping for? Didn’t you watch the same video the rest of us saw, or is it selective blindness?” she asked.

Tacha continued by condemning the general conduct of Nigerian pastors, suggesting many abuse their influence without accountability.

“Ninety per cent of Nigerian pastors wouldn’t get away with this nonsense outside Nigeria. The kind of religion they practice here? Their churches wouldn’t last a year abroad,” she added.

She also highlighted what she described as double standards, arguing that if political figures like Seyi Tinubu or Wike were involved in a similar incident, social media outrage would be widespread.

Referring to earlier reports about Pastor Adefarasin allegedly smashing a bus windscreen in traffic, Tacha concluded: “This is someone who reportedly endangered passengers last year and now wants to paint a young boy with a camera as a threat? It’s absurd. Let’s stop being hypocrites.”

Her remarks have triggered mixed reactions online, with some praising her frankness and others accusing her of disrespecting religious leaders.
