Embattled Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of orchestrating a plot to have her assassinated.
Natasha made the explosive claims during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday night, where she dared Akpabio to take legal action against her over the allegations.
In a detailed account, Natasha claimed that Akpabio recruited Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo to initiate both her recall and assassination.
She alleged that Ododo had informed Akpabio that the recall would be impossible due to her strong support base among the people of Kogi.
Natasha further alleged that Akpabio then turned to Governor Yahaya Bello, instructing him to fund her recall and, disturbingly, to have her killed.
“But Akpabio was not satisfied; he then called for Yahaya Bello. It was Senator Asuquo who drove Yahaya Bello to the Hiltons. I was informed,” she said.
“The meeting was in two folds; he told him to commence my recall. He was going to fund it. Of course, money changed hands that day. The second thing was that he should kill me. Akpabio told Yahaya Bello to kill me,” she continued.
She added, “I am hearing that the Senate President wants to sue me for that, I will tell him to go ahead. We will meet and cross that bridge.”
