Music executive and show promoter Paulo Okoye has responded to allegations made by upcoming singer Spyro regarding his time under Okoye’s record label.
In an interview with Echo Room, Spyro revealed his struggles while signed to Paulo’s label, claiming he had to take out loans to support himself because the label provided little to no financial assistance. While acknowledging Paulo as a kind man skilled in show business, Spyro criticized his ability to manage a record label effectively.

Reacting via Instagram Stories, Paulo Okoye refuted the claims, sharing receipts that reportedly show he spent N12 million on Spyro without earning anything in return.
This comes after Spyro’s recent reflections on his financial journey. The singer revealed he started 2023 with less than 10,000 Naira but has since achieved remarkable success, purchasing cars and multiple houses for himself and his family.
Spyro also celebrated his mother’s influence on his success, sharing how her hardships motivated him to work hard. Last year, he advised upcoming artists to focus on their talent and diligence, rather than relying solely on record labels for success.
