Mr Macaroni Responds To Tinubu’s Past Tweets About PDP, Recreates It For Ruling Party –

  • Mr. Macaroni, is gaining social media acclaim for his criticism of the presidency’s silence during national difficulties.
  • He specifically addressed Tinubu’s Senior Special Assistant on Social Media, highlighting past tweets from 2014.
  • The aide’s previous tweets criticized the Goodluck Jonathan administration and encouraged protests, using derogatory terms for the then-president.

Nigerian entertainer and activist, Mr Macaroni—real name Debo Adedayo—has received widespread praise across social media for his outspoken stance against the presidency’s perceived silence amid current national hardships.

This comes after Mr Macaroni called out Tinubu’s Senior Special Assistant on Social Media, referencing tweets the aide had posted back in 2014 during the Goodluck Jonathan administration. In those old tweets, the presidential aide had harshly criticized the government and urged Nigerians to protest, even going as far as using derogatory language to describe the then-president.

In a recent post, Mr Macaroni questioned why the same level of outrage had vanished now, despite the worsening economic and social conditions in the country. He highlighted the inconsistency by sharing past tweets from President Bola Tinubu himself, in which Tinubu accused the then-ruling party, PDP, of losing the trust of Nigerians.

One of the resurfaced tweets read:

“Nigeria’s security situation is precarious. Nigerians are tired of excuses and explanations. They want protection for their lives and property.”

Another stated:

“The slaughtering of Christian worshippers is strongly condemnable. It calls to question the competence of Jonathan to protect Nigerians.”

Mr Macaroni cleverly reframed these statements to reflect the current state of affairs, implicitly challenging the current administration to take responsibility.

His courage and consistency in holding those in power accountable have resonated strongly with the public, earning him admiration and support from many Nigerians online.
