A Federal High Court in Lagos, on Thursday, issued a warrant of arrest against Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, popularly known as Eezee Conceptz, the former manager of renowned gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
Justice Alexander Owoeye granted the warrant following an ex parte motion filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to an affidavit submitted by EFCC investigator Michael Idoko, the commission acted on a petition from Mercy Chinwo accusing her former manager of financial impropriety. She alleged that Onyedikachukwu was secretly collecting royalties from her digital platforms and events.
The singer claimed that approximately $345,000 was diverted without her share being remitted. Despite multiple attempts, the EFCC was unable to apprehend the manager, prompting the request for a court-issued warrant.
The case has been adjourned until January 24 for the manager’s arraignment.
