A Nigerian man lost his job as a cleaner in the UK after his manager found out he was studying for a master’s degree in cybersecurity.

He shared his story on social media, explaining how it all happened.

On his first day, his African supervisor inquired about his background.

The man mentioned he was temporarily working as a cleaner while studying for his master’s in cybersecurity.

The supervisor passed this information to the manager, who later dismissed him from his job.

In his post, he wrote: “I was working as a cleaner one time. On my first day, the woman (African) supervising me asked about my background.”

“I told her I was doing my Master’s in cybersecurity and only working as a cleaner temporarily before finding a job in my field. She reported me to the Manager straight away.”

He continued, “The manager came looking for me and told me she doesn’t think I can do the job. In the end, they chased me away 😂😂 We are killing ourselves as Africans.”

The post triggered a strong reaction, with numerous concerned people sharing their views in the comments section.
