A Nigerian madam triples her domestic staffâs salary after taking her place for just 24 hours following her trip to the village for the festive season.
Philanthropist and founder of the Tracy Mcwary Foundation, Tracy Mcwary lamented the difficulties she faced after her domestic help travelled home for Christmas, leaving a noticeable vacuum in her household.
In a heartfelt post on Facebook, the boss lady lamented the struggle of single-handedly doing the domestic staffâs work on her own.
âJust 24hrs after my domestic staff traveled for Xmas, I have broken down. My legs are hurting. I called her this morning and sent her almost triple of her salary. If only she knows,â Tracy wrote.
Her frustration was evident as she shared her struggles in the absence of her help, even jokingly saluting those who manage without domestic assistance.
In the comment section, she added: âI asked her to please send her account, and I did another Xmas for her. Aaah, my legs are hurting. Just 24hrs! People without domestic staff, how do you do it? Robot, I hail you!â
Tracyâs post has sparked conversations about the challenges of managing household chores without assistance, particularly during festive periods when domestic staff often take breaks.
While some sympathized with her plight, others used the opportunity to highlight the importance of appreciating domestic workers and the value they bring to homes.
