A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to call out the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), claiming that her younger brother‘s 2025 UTME score does not reflect his academic capability.
In a series of posts shared via her page on X (formerly Twitter), the lady expressed shock and disappointment after her brother, who reportedly scored 278 in his first UTME attempt, was told he scored 169 in the 2025 exam.

She insisted that members of her family are academically gifted, stressing that there’s no way her brother could have performed so poorly.
“We are not dullards in my family,” she wrote. “I had 278 in 2017 – UI Law. My sister had 320 in 2020 – UNILAG Pharmacy. So explain how my brother will have 278 in his first trial and then 169 now? Ko possible.”
She further revealed that her brother is one of the top students in his school, a former assistant head boy, and has represented Lagos State in academic competitions.
“Dear @JAMBHQ, my brother’s JAMB result just came out, and it’s not adding up. This is someone with a consistent record of academic excellence. We can’t accept this result. Too much effort and sleepless nights went into preparation. This is so unfair. Please REVIEW IT!!!!!” she added.
The lady urged JAMB to re-evaluate the result, maintaining that her brother’s performance was far better than what was reflected.
Following her post, many concerned individuals flooded the comment section to share similar experiences and opinions about the credibility of the results.
