A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to accuse a man of physically assaulting her and her friends during a night out at a club in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The incident reportedly occurred at the Black Box Club, where the group had gathered to celebrate a birthday. Sharing her account on X (formerly Twitter), user @Monie_HRM posted photos and video clips of the alleged attacker, claiming he violently assaulted them after they refused to let him sit on a chair they had reserved.

“This man beat up my friends at the club because they didn’t allow him sit on the chair they reserved for a birthday celebration,” she wrote. “He broke bottles on their heads, stripped one of them, and another lost her front tooth. Please, the videos are attached.”

In one of the accompanying videos, one of the victims recounted the incident, explaining that the man became aggressive after accusing one of them of recording him while she was filming the celebration. Although they insisted he was not being captured, he allegedly launched a physical attack.

“He started hitting my friend, claiming she was recording him,” she said. “When I tried to intervene, he broke a bottle on my head. I was bleeding. The only thing we did wrong was to go out as girls. Is every girl in Nigeria a prostitute?”

She further claimed the man refused to leave their reserved area, demanding a seat and asserting that they had no right to sit while he remained standing.

“He said we had no right to sit while he was standing. This man assaulted my friends, stripped one, and left me with injuries. All my life, no one has ever raised their hands on me until now.”
