Juventus target Lookman after failed Osimhen move; Atalanta set €60M price tag

Juventus are recalibrating their summer transfer strategy, now prioritizing Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman as uncertainties mount over a potential deal for Victor Osimhen.

According to Tuttosport reports, while Osimhen remains the Bianconeri’s preferred long-term target, several critical barriers are making a deal increasingly improbable.

Napoli reportedly continue negotiations with Manchester United, potentially involving a player-plus-cash swap for Rasmus Højlund.

Moreover, Osimhen’s €70 million release clause applies only to clubs outside Italy, forcing domestic suitors like Juventus to negotiate directly with Napoli, likely at an inflated fee.

Adding to the complications, Osimhen commands a salary in the €10 million range annually, a figure Juventus are reluctant to match given their internal wage structure and FFP considerations.

As a result, the club have shifted focus to the player’s countryman and Africa’s best player Ademola Lookman, who has impressed with his versatility and end product at Atalanta.

The Bergamo side, aware of growing interest from both Serie A rivals and Premier League clubs, have reportedly set a valuation of €60 million ahead of the summer window.

Napoli are also monitoring Lookman as a potential alternative to Osimhen.
