- Isaac Fayose, a businessman and social commentator, expresses regret for his involvement in the fight for suspended Rivers state governor, Sim Fubara.
- Fayose commented on photos taken by Fubara with President Tinubu in his Lagos house on June 3.
Businessman and political commentator Isaac Fayose has expressed regret over supporting suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, during his political crisis.
In a video shared online, Fayose reacted strongly to recent photos of Fubara with President Bola Tinubu at the president’s Lagos residence on Tuesday, June 3. He criticized the governor for what he described as weak behavior and accused him of fraternizing with his political adversaries.
‘’Fubara that was a governor three months ago, all he does now is to go and take pictures either with President in London or Lagos or stand outside Aso Rock or stand outside Wike’s house. They have changed his destiny. He is now taking pictures with his enemy. What a weak man, Fubara! You are very weak. I regret even fighting for you. Very weak man. Weakling!”
Fubara’s meeting with Tinubu comes amid ongoing tensions with his predecessor and political godfather, Nyesom Wike. The president had earlier suspended Fubara from office in March 2025, following a drawn-out political standoff between the two Rivers politicians.
