In a video call that surfaced online, Davido shared with the veteran singer that his old hit, Because of English, played a key role in influencing With You, a new collaboration with fellow artist Omah Lay.
During the conversation, Davido praised Bright Chimezie’s artistry and acknowledged the impact his music has had over the years. He also extended an invitation to the highlife icon, promising to bring him to Lagos so they could connect in person.
