Halle Bailey Granted Restraining Order Against Ex-Boyfriend DDG Amid Abuse Claims –

  • Halle Bailey has been granted a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and streamer DDG, for allegations of repeated physical, emotional, verbal, and financial abuse.

Halle Bailey, the 25-year-old singer and actress, has been granted a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and streamer DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.), after accusing him of a pattern of physical, emotional, verbal, and financial abuse.

The legal action comes nearly seven months after Bailey and Granberry, the father of her one-year-old son, Halo, announced their split. On Tuesday, Bailey filed the request in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Court documents, cited by Billboard and TMZ, reveal the abuse allegedly began in January during a custody exchange when the situation turned violent. Bailey claims that Granberry shouted at her, pulled her hair, slammed her face into a steering wheel, and caused a chipped tooth. Photos of her reported injuries were included with the legal filing.

Bailey also describes two additional abusive incidents. One involved Granberry reportedly smashing her home security camera during an argument in March. In another, she claims he entered her home while she was away, sending her a photo of her empty bed with a suggestive message.

In the court documents, Bailey states, “Throughout our relationship, Daryl has been and continues to be physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive towards me.” She further explained that she was seeking protection not just for herself, but also for their son Halo, from the ongoing abuse.

Additionally, Bailey is requesting a court order that would prevent Granberry from discussing her and their son on his YouTube and Twitch channels. She claims that his public remarks have sparked online harassment, with accusations of her withholding their child and being involved with other men. This, she says, has led to threats and hateful messages directed at her on social media.

A hearing for a permanent restraining order is set for June 4.

As of now, Granberry has yet to comment publicly on the allegations, and no official statements have been made by representatives for either party.
