Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has promised to provide full compensation to the families of the 16 hunters who were tragically killed in Uromi. The governor made this assurance during a heartfelt condolence visit to Torankawa village in the Bunkure Local Government Area, where he was accompanied by Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and other prominent officials. Okpebholo expressed his deepest sympathies and vowed to support the bereaved families with both financial assistance and food aid.

Governor Okpebholo condemned the brutal killings, describing them as senseless, and emphasized that those responsible would be brought to justice. He made it clear that the government would ensure that justice is served for the victims, expressing his firm stance against such acts of violence.
