Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is set to leave Napoli on a permanent basis this summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking via his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that Osimhen, currently on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray, will return to Napoli before finalising a long-anticipated move away from the Serie A side.
“The reality is for Osimhen to leave Galatasaray, return to Napoli and leave Napoli,” Romano stated. “He’s not staying at Napoli and most likely not staying at Galatasaray.”
The 26-year-old forward has been in electric form this season, scoring 29 goals and registering six assists in 33 matches across all competitions, drawing serious attention from Manchester United, Chelsea, and clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Romano noted that Osimhen will begin evaluating his transfer options starting in May.
“Already from May, Osimhen will access the potential options on the table. Options could be in several countries—Premier League, Saudi and also let’s see what happens in Serie A.”
While Juventus are reportedly monitoring the situation, a move within Italy remains unlikely due to Napoli’s reluctance to sell to a direct domestic rival.
“Obviously Napoli hope to not sell the player to Juventus,” Romano added, “so that would not be an easy one.”
With the summer transfer window fast approaching, Osimhen is expected to prioritise clarity on his next destination before the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
