In related news, Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has taken to social media to share her thoughts on how people approach conversations via direct messages (DMs).
In a video posted on her Instagram page, Anunobi voiced her frustration with individuals who begin DMs with vague greetings like “Hi” or “Hello beautiful,” without stating their purpose.
“I don’t get it. I really don’t get it. Why would you come to someone’s DM and write hi? Hello, Beauty. For crying out loud, you think we all have time to waste?”
Speaking with her usual eloquence and intensity, the actress emphasized that people need to be intentional and respectful of others’ time. In a fast-paced world, she argued, there’s little patience for meaningless back-and-forths.
“Oh, so we should start chit-chatting. Hey, then I write hello, then you say ‘How are you?’ That’s fine. Come on, now. Man, shoot your shot, write your intentions, write where you’re going to, where you’re coming from, come on.”
Eucharia made it clear that whether you’re sending a message for business, networking, or even romance, clarity is non-negotiable.
“Don’t you know what’s called grabbing your opportunity? Obviously, common sense is not common.”
