- Elon Musk has escalated his feud with US President Trump, publicly calling for his impeachment and suggesting Vice President J.D. Vance as his replacement.
Tech billionaire Elon Musk has dramatically escalated his ongoing feud with U.S. President Donald Trump, publicly endorsing the president’s impeachment and suggesting Vice President J.D. Vance should take his place.
The controversy was reignited when political commentator Ian Miles Cheong posted on X (formerly Twitter):
“President vs Elon. Who wins? My money’s on Elon. Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him.”
Musk responded with a simple but powerful: “Yes.”
This endorsement of Trump’s removal comes as tensions between the two escalate, particularly over Trump’s proposed tariff policies. Musk has harshly criticized the economic implications, warning:
“The Trump tariffs will cause a recession in the second half of this year.”
In a further bombshell, Musk hinted that Trump may be implicated in the infamous Jeffrey Epstein case, stating that the president is “in the Epstein files” a claim that has fueled widespread online speculation.
Trump reportedly hit back by threatening to cancel federal contracts tied to Musk’s companies, taking credit for forcing him out of Washington and branding him “CRAZY!”
Musk, in retaliation, is said to be considering pulling SpaceX out of its collaboration with NASA a move that could impact crucial missions to the International Space Station.
Adding to the drama, Trump ally Steve Bannon has reportedly called for Musk’s deportation, citing his South African nationality.
The bitter clash between the billionaire entrepreneur and the former president is now unfolding in full public view, blending politics, business, and scandal in a high-stakes standoff.
