- Eric Gugua warns men about partner selection.
- Advises against marrying women who prioritize their pastors over their husbands.
- Describes such choices as unwise and potentially harmful to marriage health.
Media personality Eric Gugua has issued a strong warning to men about the importance of choosing the right partner. In a recent post shared on his Twitter page, Gugua advised men to avoid marrying women who seem to revere their pastors more than they respect their own husbands. He described such choices as unwise and potentially damaging to a healthy marriage.
According to Gugua, some women give more weight to the words and opinions of their pastors than they do to their partners’, often putting their husbands’ views second. He emphasized that this dynamic can create an imbalance in the relationship and lead to unnecessary conflict. Gugua’s comments sparked discussions online, with many users weighing in on the influence of religious leaders in personal relationships. His message was clear: a marriage should be built on mutual respect, trust, and emotional loyalty—not divided attention.
In his words;
“I really don’t think it’s a good idea to go ahead and marry someone who very clearly loves and adores her pastor or church leader more than she does you.
Tbh, I think it’s an incredibly unwise thing to do, especially when they have shown you (and in some cases even told the man point blank) that your views and opinions come second to that of this person.
It is not pride to leave this person. It’s just purpose preservation.”
