This comes after news surfaced that he is set to perform at the wedding of Indian media star Alkesh Thavrani and his love, Sheetal Mazda, in Udaipur, India. Reports suggest that Davido’s fee for the event is $10 million (about N17 billion).

After the news spread widely online, Davido posted on his Instagram story to deny the claims. He humorously tagged the groom’s account, asking for his balance, suggesting he didn’t receive the amount being talked about on social media.

He wrote, “@AlkeshThavrani, wer my balance.

The ‘Unavailable’ crooner also revealed that he had received his performance fees from the groom.

He wrote, “@AlkeshThavrani received 2025 go hear am. I need Indian passport.”
