Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors is making headlines in Nigeria and beyond. Social media critic Daniel Regha has reviewed the film.
Known for giving low scores, he rated it a surprising 5.5 out of 10, indicating it’s above average.
He appreciated the storyline and cinematography but criticized some costume choices.
He noted that certain characters were seen wearing modern accessories that didn’t match the 18th or 19th-century setting of the film.
“Example is the Queen’s nightwear during the day her son was spiritually attacked,” he said.
Daniel mentioned that the first episode lacked a strong connection in the storyline, making it seem like two separate films.
He felt the second episode needed more tension, as it didn’t create any suspense.
He also criticized the long conversations and the English subtitles, calling them disappointing.
However, he praised Aliu Gafar for his excellent performance as Esusu.
