Crystal Palace are monitoring Marcus Rashford as they consider a bold summer move for the Manchester United forward, should Aston Villa opt against making his loan permanent.
Rashford, who joined Villa on loan in January, has shown glimpses of his best form, registering five goals and three assists in 22 appearances.
His resurgence earned him a recall to England’s squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers under Thomas Tuchel.
Villa hold a £40 million buy option, but a final decision will be made in June. If they decline, Palace are prepared to step in.
As reported by SunSport, a club source said: “Palace are keeping a very close eye on Rashford and what happens with Villa and United.
“There is a good buzz around the club at the moment and someone like Marcus is exactly the kind of player they would love to attract.”
Manager Oliver Glasner has revitalized the Eagles, guiding them to 12th in the Premier League and into the FA Cup semi-finals, with a core of young talent including Eberechi Eze, Adam Wharton and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
However, the South London club faces stiff competition. Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested, and a return to Old Trafford remains a possibility, though that would require Rashford to repair relations with manager Ruben Amorim.
Amorim is expected to oversee a significant squad overhaul this summer, with Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and others among potential exits to free up wages and fund new arrivals.
