A Nigerian businessman, Chukwura-Abunyie Ugochukwu, has raised an alarm on social media after alleging that two of his employees, Afolabi Samuel Oginni and Friday Adam, stole over ₦1.8 million from his company.
In a Facebook post, Ugochukwu detailed the alleged theft, stating that the two staff members siphoned funds and goods amounting to ₦1,852,000. According to him, ₦702,000 was withdrawn via unauthorized POS transactions, ₦300,000 was taken directly from daily sales, and alcoholic beverages worth ₦800,000 were also stolen.
He accompanied his claims with a photo of one of the suspects and appealed to the public for help in locating them, as both individuals have reportedly gone into hiding following the incident.
The businessman expressed deep disappointment over the betrayal, especially given the trust he had placed in the accused employees. He also urged fellow business owners to be vigilant and cautious when dealing with staff.
As of now, there has been no official police statement on the matter, but Ugochukwu’s public post has sparked discussions online, with many offering support and sharing tips on how to prevent internal theft.
The businessman wrote …
