Idris Abdulrasheed Adeiza, a dedicated son of a bricklayer, has resumed his education at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). His journey has moved many.

Hailing from Kogi State, Idris was admitted to study software engineering after scoring an impressive 323 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

His story went viral on X (formerly Twitter) when it was revealed that, despite his academic success, he faced challenges in continuing his studies because of financial constraints. His father, a bricklayer, was unable to cover the costs of higher education.

Philanthropist Alex Onyia, who leads Educare, took the initiative to support Idris’s education. He announced this positive news on X, sharing photos of Idris at FUTA and commending his determination.

“Today, Idris officially starts his university education at the Federal University of Technology, Akure. He is among those who scored above 300 in recent JAMB but had no means of going to the university. I love his determination with strong energy towards success, and I pray that he excels and impacts different nations,” Onyia wrote.

The post has received a lot of positive feedback for Alex Onyia’s kind act and Idris’s determination. Many people have praised the philanthropist for his commitment to helping talented students who lack resources.
