Members of Anambra Umuada, a group of first daughters, were prevented from attacking a woman whose s*x tape with a married man went viral.
A video on Facebook showed the Umuada with symbolic items at the marketplace where the woman involved works.
This seemed to be a traditional protest or public shaming.
However, local villagers quickly intervened, opposing the Umuada’s actions. They argued that the Umuada, from another community, could not disrupt their village without proper procedures.
They were told to send a formal notice to village authorities about their intentions. Only after local leaders discuss the issue would a decision be made.
