Afrobeat artist Seun Kuti has called on African governments to prohibit Kemi Badenoch, the leader of the UK Conservative Party, from visiting the continent due to her comments regarding Nigeria.

According to GistLover, Badenoch has maintained her stance on Nigeria, despite criticism from Vice President Kashim Shettima and others who assert that her remarks have belittled the nation.

Badenoch has reportedly characterized her childhood in Nigeria as being dominated by fear and insecurity in a nation beset by corruption.

In a recent Instagram live session, Kuti expressed his demand for a ban on the UK Conservative Party leader from entering Africa.

He said, “Many have been praising this woman [Kemi Badenoch]; someone who has been insulting us, not only us but our ancestors. She said we should pay Europeans for colonialism.

“She’s saying we should pay them for killing millions of our ancestors; for all the atrocities that they committed in our lands.

“She’s someone who should be banned by African governments from stepping into Africa. Once she steps into Africa, she should be jailed.”
