Musiala inspires Bayern Munich’s 4-2 win over Heidenheim

Bayern Munich maintained their unbeaten Bundesliga run with a 4-2 win over Heidenheim at the Allianz Arena.

Jamal Musiala ran the show off the bench, to net a brace.

The hosts dominated the first half, with 86% possession and 12 shots on target, capitalizing when Dayot Upamecano headed in Joshua Kimmich’s corner in the 18th minute.

However, Upamecano’s defensive error early in the second half gifted Mathias Honsak a chance to equalize, which he calmly converted past Manuel Neuer.

Bayern responded quickly. Substitute Musiala restored the lead within four minutes of his introduction, beating Daniel Peretz at the near post with a fine strike.

Leon Goretzka extended the advantage with a deflected volley, making it 3-1 after Michael Olise missed an opportunity to finish Kimmich’s through ball.

Heidenheim reduced the deficit scoring another through Niklas Dorsch to make it 3-2 late in the game.

Yet, Musiala sealed the victory with his second goal, ensuring a comfortable end for Vincent Kompany’s men.
