The individual, known as Racquel, shared her sentiments in a tweet on her X account.
She expressed that, while many may have been fortunate to have supportive fathers, she does not count herself among them.
Racquel explained that her father conditioned her to take care of her siblings and has persistently abandoned his parental responsibilities, including financial support for his children, leaving her to shoulder these burdens.
Additionally, she disclosed that her father physically assaulted her when she refused to marry at the age of 17, as he intended to use the funds for her brothers’ education.
She further asserted that her brothers inherited their misogynistic attitudes from their father.
She wrote, “My dad isn’t a good dad. He trained me to cater for my siblings and continues to make it my duty to provide for them. I’m the one refusing to do it, as I was born like them.
“Also, he literally battered me for refusing to get married at 17 so he could use the bride price to train his sons.”
