The dispute originated when Spyro accused Ubi Franklin of leveraging Davido’s name to secure a performance in Ghana without appropriate remuneration. Spyro alleged that Ubi had promised payment for the event, which was supposedly associated with Davido, but that the payment was never fulfilled.
In rebuttal, Ubi Franklin denied these claims, asserting that Spyro owes him a 10% commission from a car transaction he facilitated. Ubi clarified that he assisted Spyro in obtaining a car deal valued at ₦105 million, with the understanding that Spyro would remit a 10% commission upon the completion of the payment.
