Where is Joseph Ayo Babalola University located?
The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide created the Joseph Ayo Babalola institution (JABU) in 2004 as a private Nigerian institution in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, Nigeria. Its name is The First Entrepreneurial University in Nigeria. The institution is named after Joseph Ayo Babalola, the first spiritual leader of the Christ Apostolic Church (1904-1959); it is located near the site where the Apostle is supposed to have been summoned by God to fight the Ogobungo ogre in 1928.
Joseph Ayo Babalola University is a residential campus. The university provides courses in the following colleges: Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Humanities, Law, Management Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Health Sciences. It was Nigeria’s first entrepreneurial university.
The University’s first Chancellor was Oba Oladele Olashore (CON). It provides lodging for students, as well as resources such as a library and college buildings.
