- Skales emphasized that the remarks were fabricated and not his own.
Singer Skales has strongly refuted a viral tweet falsely attributing controversial remarks about divorcing his wife to him.
The fabricated message, shared on X (formerly Twitter), claimed that Skales said:
“I divorced my wife because of a comment she made on my post and I don’t regret it. When my wife made the comment on my post, I got angry. People cannot be mocking your husband’s music career — the music that is paying your bills — and you join them.”
Responding to this falsehood, Skales condemned the post, stating:
“This is really evil of you that you would cook up such a story, and this is not fair. I have never made such a statement, and this is false… please stop spreading lies.”
This reaction comes against the backdrop of previous public challenges in his relationship. In 2022, Skales released a diss track criticizing his wife following the death of his mother, though he later apologized publicly. The couple reconciled and celebrated the birth of their first child in March 2023.
