E-Money was reportedly arrested on the evening of Monday, April 28, 2025, at his residence in Lagos by a team of approximately 50 EFCC officers. His arrest was linked to allegations of currency abuse, including defacing the Nigerian naira and foreign currencies.

Authorities are said to be probing the socialite for allegedly spraying U.S. dollars at a public function—a practice prohibited under Nigeria’s Foreign Exchange Act.
