Gyokeres hits four as Sporting CP star surpasses 50-goal mark amid Arsenal, Man United links

Viktor Gyokeres delivered another devastating performance for Sporting CP, scoring four goals in a stunning 5-1 win over Boavista to surpass 50 goals for the season.

The Swedish striker, who netted a hat-trick against Moreirense last week, wasted no time at Estádio do Bessa, opening the scoring inside six minutes.

He doubled his tally just before halftime, completed his hat-trick five minutes into the second half, and added a fourth in stoppage time.

Gyokeres’ remarkable season now reads 52 goals in 48 appearances across all competitions, underlining his status as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards.

Sporting’s dominant away performance reinforced their domestic ambitions, while Gyokeres’ stock continues to soar ahead of a likely summer move.

Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly leading the chase for the 26-year-old, who is expected to command significant interest during the 2025 summer transfer window.

With elite European clubs circling, Sporting face a major challenge in retaining their talisman beyond this season.
