A Nigerian man makes U-turn, publicly apologizes to his girlfriend for online backlash after sending her N1M.

The man, identified as Abefe on X (formerly Twitter), shared a screenshot of a chat with his girlfriend, Omotolani, revealing the N1 million was an Easter gift.

In the chat, Abefe questioned Omotolani for not acknowledging the Easter gift via a phone call, to which she responded with ‘Thanks’.

However, Abefe shared the screenshot, captioning it with a tweet that read, “Sent my baby N1M and she hasn’t call to say thank you since 4PM. This is why I don’t like dating yahoo girls in Lagos. Bunch of ingrates”.

In a surprising turn of events, Abefe makes a U-turn, issuing a public apology to demonstrate his remorse for his actions.

Furthermore, he expressed remorse for airing their private affairs in the online space.

His tweet reads, “I’m sorry Omotolani “My heartbeats 💓” Did all these to let you know I’m deeply sorry from the debt of my heart. I’m sorry for putting our business out there ❤️🫶 . Please forgive me my love 😍.Please 🙏🏽 comment sorry Omotolani 🥹”.
