Bewaji, wife of controversial Nigerian singer Portable, expressed gratitude on Instagram following her husband’s release from prison.
Portable was arrested by Kwara State police on Monday over alleged criminal defamation and other charges involving Fuji artist Saheed Osupa.
He was initially remanded after failing to meet his ₦1 million bail and surety requirements.
However, on Tuesday, Saheed Osupa withdrew the case after receiving appeals from prominent Nigerians, with his team setting three conditions for the withdrawal.
Bewaji responded by reposting Saheed’s press release and thanking God for her husband’s release.
“Alhamdulilahi”, she wrote.
