A Nigerian man has shared his frustration after giving N15,000 to a lady in need, only to receive an unexpectedly ungrateful response.
The individual, known as @ibukun_xi on X, shared his experience in response to a trending post by popular content creator Layi Wasabi, who invited followers to recount their worst encounters with ingrates.
“I know heartbreak hurts, but have you ever helped an ingrate before?” Wasabi asked, sparking a flood of responses.
One user, @_Ojonya, commented, “I paid someone’s rent and all I got was a ‘thanks.’ 😭”
In response, @ibukun_xi recounted how a lady reached out to him, asking for N15,000 to cover a portion of a N27,000 medical bill. Without hesitation, he sent the full amount.
However, his goodwill was met with a response that left him stunned. Instead of a heartfelt thank-you, the lady replied with just the letter “T.” When he inquired about the meaning, she responded, “Lol T for thanks.”
The incident quickly went viral, with many expressing disbelief and suggesting that the man reconsider his generosity in the future.
