Doctor accused of misconduct leading to newborn baby’s demise in Lagos


A doctor at the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital has come under fire following allegations of misconduct that reportedly resulted in the tragic demise of a newborn baby.

The shocking claims were made by a user on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), identified as @ps_wears, who recounted the ordeal in a now-viral post.

According to the post, the accused doctor allegedly delayed the delivery process while making an inappropriate demand from the expectant mother.

“LAGOS ISLAND MATERNITY HOSPITAL A doctor just told a pregnant woman to touch his private part. A woman who came to deliver a baby,” she stated.

Hours later, she gave an update on the situation, affirming that the baby passed away, and calling on the authorities to investigate the doctor and hospital.

“The baby died because the doctor delayed all because he wanted the lady to touch his private part. Now she’s undergoing CS. This is annoying I am pissed Hearing from her relatives the story here in the hospital is pissing me off,” she added.
