Nigerian artist Kizz Daniel, whose real name is Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, has encouraged his fellow Nigerians to appreciate their nationality, even with the tough issues facing the country.

He believes that being Nigerian is a special opportunity because the nation is “ahead of time.”

He also mentioned that while the economy may be challenging, valuable things can emerge from difficult situations.

On his X handle, Kizz Daniel wrote:

“Take a second to appreciate what God has done for you; making you a Nigerian.

“He gave you a time before the actual time, cus Naija is ahead of time. It might seem like the rough, but guess where diamonds come from? The rough.”

In November, Kizz Daniel praised some of his senior peers. He called Olamide Adedeji, known as Olamide, the godfather of the new music scene.

Kizz Daniel also included music producer Michael Collins Ajere, known as Don Jazzy, and music star Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, or Phyno, in this group with Olamide.

His tweet was inspired by a fan who mentioned that Olamide is a blessing to the industry and helped open doors for today’s artists.
