Manchester City set Premier League revenue record for 2023/24

Manchester City have again rewritten financial history books in English football, announcing a record-breaking revenue of £715 million for the 2023/24 season.

This surpasses their previous record of £712.8 million set in the 2022/23 campaign.

The club also reported a pre-tax profit of £73.8 million, marking a continuation of their streak of profitability since the 2014/15 season, barring the Covid-impacted 2019/20 period.

City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has pointed at the club’s relentless drive for excellence.

He stated, “Our constant ambition to target and achieve the unprecedented is a mark of the organisation that we have become.

“On and off the field, our passion for the next challenge is underpinned by deliberate and detailed planning and a shared belief in the collaborative learning culture that we have built.”

Meanwhile, the record revenue announcement coincides with the conclusion of the Premier League’s investigation into a 115 alleged financial breaches by City.

While a verdict is expected early next year, City are reportedly set for appeal if things don’t go their way.
