A video of rising star Muyeez alongside Afrobeat sensation Burna Boy has been shared online after Muyeez’s recent departure from his label, ‘Dapper Music & Entertainment,’ run by Hilda Baci’s fiancé, Damilola Akinwunmi.
Muyeez, known as Moshood Abdulmuiz, became well-known in 2024 with his debut track “Instagram” featuring Seyi Vibez.
Earlier this year, a 16-year-old artist signed a contract with Dapper Music but had to end it because of poor treatment, as he shared in a statement on Instagram.
He mentioned that even after releasing two EPs, he has not received any royalties. This situation followed singer Shallipopi’s decision to leave the same record label.
Despite Dapper Music’s response to the claims of financial exploitation, fans have been criticizing the label.
Amid his challenges, Muyeez was spotted enjoying time with Burna Boy at a nightclub in Lagos. The video captured him respectfully greeting Burna, leading fans to comment on his humility.
