Idris’s story went viral on X (formerly Twitter) when it was revealed that despite his remarkable academic achievement, he faced uncertainty about continuing his education due to financial challenges. His father, a bricklayer, could not afford the cost of higher education.

Philanthropist Alex Onyia, the CEO of Educare, stepped in to sponsor Idris’s education. Onyia shared the uplifting update on X, posting photos of Idris at FUTA and expressing admiration for the young man’s determination.

“Today, Idris officially starts his university education at the Federal University of Technology, Akure. He is among those who scored above 300 in recent JAMB but had no means of going to the university. I love his determination with strong energy towards success, and I pray that he excels and impacts different nations,” Onyia wrote.
