Police officers harass Abuja residents for Christmas money refusal


A viral TikTok video has surfaced alleging that police officers in Abuja harassed residents for refusing to give them money they claimed was meant for Christmas celebrations.

In the video, it was reported that the officers requested money from individuals, but the residents declined, stating they could not afford it.

A woman in the video alleged that she was beaten by one of the officers, while a young man displayed injuries he claimed were inflicted during the altercation.

The TikTok user who shared the video captioned it: “Help us, Abuja. They asked us to give them Christmas money, and when we said we didn’t have, they started shooting guns.”

The incident has sparked outrage online, with many calling for an investigation into the alleged misconduct.
